The Sneaky Sneaky Network Marketing Lead System

The network marketing system is a sneaky approach to lead generation.  Notice, it has nothing to do with being dishonest.  But at the same time, it's most definitely a sneaky approach to generating leads for your business.

This is what a network marketing system does on the front end.  It provides value and training for other people's business.  That's how the lead generation side works.  Give me your name and email address and I'll send you, free of charge, information on how to grow your business.

That doesn't sound very sneaky, does it?  In fact, that sounds downright honest.  One of the biggest factors in why people fail to make any money with their business is a lack of solid training.  Knowing what the best marketing techniques are is one thing, knowing how to use them is a whole different ball game.

But here is where the sneaky part comes in.  As you load the person up with value and training you begin to build a relationship.  They begin to rely on you for information and advice.  You become the expert and leader in their eyes.  Even if you are not making those training videos or writing those e-books, you are providing a place where they can get them.  Every email they receive has your name on it.

As that relationship begins to grow and develop trust is born.  When that happens, they are right where you want them.  That is exactly when the network marketing system steps in and presents your business.  They know you, they trust you and in many cases they have even come to rely on you for valuable information.  Now your business is presented in terms of a solution instead of a proposition.  You are not selling something to that person, you are simply providing help to them in the form of a business opportunity.

This still might not sound very sneaky to you.  But understand that what you are doing is psychological in nature.  Instead of being a peddler in a marketplace you are being a friend and helper.  A person might see a commercial a dozen times and never pay attention to it.  But when a friend says this is a great product or service, they suddenly consider it.

Imagine that you need someone to fix the roof on your house.  You are shown three people that can do it for you.  But, one of those people come highly recommended by a good friend of yours.  If you are like most people you will completely ignore the facts and figures and trust that if your friend got good results, you will too.

Mike Dillard said it best when he said that the easiest way to sell a drill is to teach someone how to make a hole.  Nobody starts off thinking that they need a drill.  They start off thinking that they need to make a hole.  Your job is to teach them how to make that hole (and on the sneaky side suggest that your drill will get the job done easier).
